Pluerries
Pluerry is an interspecific cross between a plum and a sweet cherry, a brand new fruit type from the genius of Floyd Zaiger. Predominantly of plum and cherry, combining the sweetness of a cherry with that summer fresh plum zing. Much larger than a cherry. We grow two varieties of pluerries: sweet Treat and candy heart. Sweet treat ripens before the candy heart. Sweet Treat in 2022 ripened on July 16.
Sweet Treat Pluerry™
This taste-test favorite is a complex interspecific hybrid, predominantly of plum and cherry, combining the sweetness of a cherry with that summer fresh plum zing. Much larger than a cherry but smaller than a plum.June through July.

Candy Heart Pluerry™
Candy Heart, having Japanese plum and sweet cherry in its parentage, is a taste-test proven treat for fruit lovers. Its skin is dark speckled red, the amber/red flesh slightly sub acidic and very sweet, with a wonderfully unique flavor. This variety ripens in late July after the Sweet treat.
